Festive greetings from the EuroCity team! The holidays are fast approaching and Christmas spirit is very much in the air. But whilst everyone prepares for the festivities, our contractors have been busy on site, and we are delighted to bring you our latest EuroCity update.
If you’ve been past the site in recent months, you will have seen that things are progressing very quickly – the Carrara tower has reached the 11th floor, whilst Porcelana and Murano have reached the 9th. By January we expect all 3 towers cranes to be lifted to their final height to facilitate the construction of the upper floors of the development. In fact, the towers are getting so tall that we’re struggling to find a new aerial angle for the time-lapse video, as EuroCity will soon overshoot Eurotowers!
Internal works have also begun in Carrara, with internal wall partitions and pipework now underway. Externally, the wall frames and wall make up are also under construction, with elevated platforms erected in order to facilitate the facade works which will begin in the New Year – very exciting!
The transformation room is also due for completion in January, which will take all of the new electrical equipment required to power Eurocity. Our contractors have been meeting with GIBELEC in order to coordinate the installation. Otherwise the air-conditioning contractors has also been engaged, and a major delivery of equipment arrived on site in readiness for these works to commence.
